winter inspiration

Repeatedly I find inspiration at Reid State Park, one of my favorite spots along the Maine coast. I shot these images as we walked along the beach on a very cold, sunny day right after the holidays.  The texture of the rock formations will serve as inspiration for some glazes I will be testing over the next several weeks.  This week I will be filling two kilns with test tiles for a variety of glazes I've been working on.  I can't wait to open the kiln at the end of the week to see the results!
